Some relatives from Dharan come in Kathmandu to visit my family. They were headed for Palpa to celebrate Dashain. I was very happy to hear about Dharan from them.

They show very interest in computer,cyber,internet. UTL CDMA and ADSL is now available in Dharan, nice to hear. I have shown them how to connect the ADSL. They were amazed to hear that internet can be distributed to their neighbours.

Dharan is some how lacking progress in Education. My brother (relative - older brother) has offered me to teach courses of BIM , BBA (near future planning of a College in Vijayapur) and computer trainings.

My sister guided them in their kathmandu walkthrough. I spent one Saturday with my Bhatij and Bhatiji. My bhatiji is now on 4th grade at Goldmarie School. She enjoyed the Dragon House (Bhrikutimandap), Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

It's been 10 years, I am remembering about Dharan - Fushre, Zeropoint, Chhatachowk, High School, Geeta Mandir, Bijayapur, Deshiline, Bhanuchowk, Tinkune, guchcha, cycle, changa, nawaratha, ... so on.

I think I should spent a couple of years in Dharan. I have now helping hands at least. Let me finish my contract years in Kathmandu [I must respect my job also].

You said that they've got ADSL in Dharan now,,but what is the highest connection speed?? Hope its better than dial-up. Could you stream videos like youtube as well? I'd just like to know abt it.

In kathmandu the home users can have 256 Kbps but the default internet connection distribution is 128 kbps. I'm using 1Mbps ADSL from Nepal Telecom. The download rate is normally 770 Kbps to 990 Kbps.
